Could you be making your acne worse?

August 13, 2019

Everyone loves a good squeaky clean skin and usually opt for mechanical skin cleansing tools such as brushes and exfoliating pads to achieve "clean" skin.

But with anything, too much of a good thing usually turns bad. But what about acne skin? Acne skin is very fragile and compromised thus meaning that you should approach acne skin gently & delicately. Especially inflamed & painful cystic acne! This means that using cleansing tools and abrasive brush exfoliations should be avoided completely! You will aggravate your acne by applying  pressure and deep manipulation as well as help to spread the bacteria throughout the skin when using brushes of any kind. Most at home use of brushes are not properly disinfected thus causing a redeposit of bacteria back into the pores. So, for acne skin, DITCH the brushes!
